THAIPHUKET Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 Will be traveling to Europe+ using local SIM cards. Mobile got 2 SIM Slots. Is there a way to use my Thai LINE account for sending photos etc to friends? Sent from my Pixel using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
HampiK Posted August 11, 2018 Posted August 11, 2018 The LINE App has nothing to do with the inserted SIM card. The SIM card is only important in the beginning for activate LINE. And even this your mobile not even need the SIM card inserted in that phone at the time.. you only need to be able to receive the SMS somehow (Could be inserted in any other phone at that time). Meaning you can change your SIM card anytime without using the possibility of using LINE. What you need is an internet connection (Either by WiFi or a SIM with a Data-package). 1

In addition, you can register your LINE account with an email address so that you can access your account from any device.

Wrong, only one device per account, the only exception is that PC or Mac version can access all of your line accounts / devices 1

What's that about?! They already have it on their phone, so registering the account via email allows you to access on PC and Mac and also any device with a Chrome Browser, so that includes Chromebooks. Seems like all devices to me.

Everytime you log-In to a new mobile (or a one, which not have an active LINE account) you have to put in your mobile number (not need to have an SIM Inserted) and then confirm with the PIN they send to this number. So you need to have an mobile with an SIM, but not need to be this mobile. And after the LINE Account is activated.. you can use them till you delete or activate your LINE on another mobile. When you have an active account on mobile 1, and then log-in on mobile 2.. this will invalidate your account on mobile 1! As above mentioned you also can use the same account on a computer. But you can't use the same account on 2 mobiles. (Not sure about the trick with crome). I hope I wrote it clear enough
