Local authority hopes Thai shrine will stop gays enjoying forbidden fruits in "The Garden of Eden"

A local authority fed up with a park being used by gay men as an outside knocking shop have put in a shrine to make people think twice.

More than 1,000 condoms have been found in the area of the Phuttamonthon Sai 2 Park in Thawee Wattana district west of Bangkok.

Police have worked with the authority to put up signage and barbed wire but that appears not to be enough to stop the nighttime revelry of the local gay community.

So they have now put in a shrine and some traditional Thai women's costumes hanging from the trees.

They hope this will stop the carnal frivolity.

The chief of the Thamasala cops Pol Col Phoomthat Kositwanichpong said the area had come to be known as the "Garden of Eden".

It was a meeting place for gays by day and when the sun goes down it was used for sex.

He said he had worked with the authority to put up the barbed wire and make sure there was only one in and out entry point for the gay community using the park so security could be maintained.

He promised arrests in the future if the public do not comply.

But the ladies of the team clearing up the area thought some spiritual help was needed. Hence the shrine and clothes.

They said they had found more than 1000 condoms and wrappers as well as KY tubes all over the place.

Let´s just face the facts. It´s not only guy people that have sex in parks. Can´t the shrine be protecting the parks from heterosexuals as well, or is it especially engineered to protect the parks from gay people? If so, it seems a little bit like the way it was in the concentration camps. Not at all fair, so to say.

If daisy chaining is going on then there will be more than one entry point .. Barbed wire .! That's an open invite to the sado/masochists ..

" now clear off and don't let me catch you again " seems to be the message judging by the finger point but to who .. The little spirit house or red dress scarecrow .? And some folk pay good money for mask , glove and apron fetish's so she needs to go carefully dressed like that ..

Why not just put in some litter bins?

This ridiculous obsession with arsing about harassing consenting adults having a bit of alfresco rumpy in the bushes.

Who hasn't ever tried a bit in a publc place at some point, gay or str8?

Butt out of the park officer, and go do some much needed traffic policework instead.
