Popular Post jonwilly
A Thai employee of a friend of mine was picked up at a police check point last night. Before leaving work he drank 2 possibly max, 3 large bottles of Leo. Alcohol smelled on breath so he was breathalyzed and fail the test. Immediate police nick to go to court this morning. Told to expect up to B15,000 fine. john 4 1

Popular Post ThaiPauly
My Wife's friend's brother got stopped Friday night. 3 nights behind bars and 30k worse off was the total outcome, suppose different police regions charge different fines and give different jail time. But fair play, nobody should drink and drive, I bet he never had a helmet and could have killed himself 2 kliks on down the road in an accident!! This is what I call GOOD police work and the heavy fines might teach the youngsters not to chance it again...catch a bus! 9 2
Popular Post Nick ZepTepi
I passed through a 2 way check point last night at the start of suthep rs.Police were inspecting car drivers mainly - no apparent helmet checks.I was on my bike and waved through after offering to stop.Less drunk drivers means safer roads, even if it's a little bit too start with. Hogs
The fine depends on the number you blew they have a scale chart with the fines which start at 6000 baht upwards I know this as I have had many mates stopped and fines were all based on how drunk they were. 1

Popular Post HHTel
15, 20 or 30 grand is 'getting off light'. You could be fined a lot more and spend 6 months in prison! In fact 10-20,000 is more in line with 'on the spot' fine by the police and we know where that goes. 2

She was hit with a $400 fine. This would be a nice earner in Thailand,. judging by the texting I've seen while one-handed m/bike riders go through the city. 4

Popular Post upu2
What is the purpose of the OP? Are we meant to feel sorry for the guy who got caught because if we are it has failed miserably. I am guessing there must be something the OP was trying to elicit for the members but cant decide what exactly that would be 2
