Boy, 9, who was brutally beaten by monk in Kanchanaburi has now died

Sad. One can see savagery is not confined to one particular religion  - or two. The culprits hide under a cloak with the name religion written on.

If one can beat a nine-year-old to death, he is not worthy of wearing that cloak. May Buddha bless his soul.

May the child Rest in Peace.                                                                                                  It is utterly ridiculous that when Monks are caught breaking the law they have to be defrocked prior to being charged. They were monks when the crime was commited therefore they should be charged as monks, maybe then the Sanga would properly vet all applicants.

The article says the mother left the child to stay at the wat when she couldn't afford to feed him. Other media impies the boy was unmanageable and was probably abandoned.

Whatever the case, rest in peace.

Which planet are you from, to call this culture?

Boy, 9, who was brutally beaten by monk

This comment of yours post is remarkably offensive and dishonest.

If you had taken the time to read my post (#12) beyond the first line and understand it, you would have spared us this piece of pure stupidity, but hey, why let intelligence and honesty deprive you from the pleasure of launching a vicious and crass attack on another TVF member ?

I have been on this Forum long enough to know what kind of comments you make, and way too many of them are in that same spirit. Pathetic.

Study Bhuddism? Some of these dogs need a taste of their own medicine - Religion has nothing to do with beating a child to death. Hope this POS get's his just deserves.

The truth is, the mother put the boy in the temple because he was out of control.

As so many thai  dump their kids that they had no time for. So, the 64 year old monk certainly did bad. But his mother shares a part in the blame for sure.

Let him starve. Clergy are good for nothing except insanity. Same kind of human garbage as Catholic priests. Men who volunteer for celibacy have already demonstrated that they are insane. Letting them near children is a huge mistake.

The monks are the worst kind of people , you don't want to mess around with . Many ex-convicts and criminals , the families send them to the temple and hope they will become better persons , but in reality they just continue with drugs and violent abuse.

Religion worst set back f

or humanity.

No more than adolescence is the "worst set back" for the individual human being.

It's a "phase".

Its time will pass.
