So, you don't agree with taking methadone to help heroine addicts,

Methadone does not help heroin addicts, it helps the society.

Heroin addicts should quit cold turkey if they are serious about quitting.

Maybe you should educate yourself as you seem to be quite ignorant on the subject of addiction.

Here's some reading for you, if you can be bothered.

I can't be bothered, I know from experience. Have you ever tried quitting methadone?

Nope, but I would rather believe doctors and medical science over a complete stranger on the internet.

That's a mistake many make regarding alcohol, doctors just can't help and in the most part are ignorant about alcoholism. I have friends that have been on methadone for over 20 years, so sad as they can't remember anything about their lives, being in a permanent zombie-state. I also know a few that quit cold turkey, like me and worked a spiritual program to have a great and meaningful life.

Maybe what is good for you isn't good for others.......

True, but I have tried to quit using methadone and relapsed. I have friends who are stuck on methadone. I have been to many NA meetings and heard similar stories.

Trust me here, methadone is bad news, it's the worst drug to withdraw from.

Actually, I'd say that more people have died from withdrawal of methadone than heroin.
