?At the bottom of every page are those square pics.Stupid idea, some are closed, and some that old they relate to WW2 era.Anyone know what interest they create ,especially the closed ones.?.

Thats sort of a Thai Way, like finding an old Auntie in the botom of the Freezer.!!

Murder investigation are discussed but rarely we find out the conclusion, excuse the pun they end up as a " cold case ".

It seems these are just more opportunities to click somewhere. And more clicks are more ad revenue...

Personally I stick to the top sections "Topics" and "Popular Now". Anything below that can be ignored.

Good Point, i do click them now n then just to see how out dated they are and  remember posters who died 20 years ago.?

What mystifies me is that the links go through doubleclick.net which is an external advertising / metrics service.

 

Maybe it's used to see what subjects people are interested in / for marketing reasons.
