Surat Thani where to live

Am looking at living in or around Surat Thani, need a 3 bed room house, any good areas that can be recommended? Or can look at just outside of Surat. Any feed back appreciated.

Have you considered Koh Samui?  Great little Island with very friendly natives and most modern amenities.  Cost of living is perhaps a little percentage higher than mainland, but quality of life certainly compensates for that.  Been here now for 14 years and love it.  PM me if you would like more info.
