white 'chalk like' stain on black garment

Featured Replies

So I have some small horizontal white lines near the bottom of a black t shirt, where I have obviously rubbed up against something. They are not too noticeable, but usually these kind of marks come off really easily (sometimes with just a splash of cold water) but in this instance that is not the case. It has been through the wash but still there.

Does anyone have any tips for getting these white marks off a black t shirt (synthetic football shirt type material)?

Bear in mind my local laundry does not use hot water.

Cheers

Stop rubbing up against 'something' then. And buy a new T-shirt, preferably not black.   lol.

It could be soap powder residue so try hot water and soap  with a soft(ish) nail/scrubbing brush...

if not colour it in with a black felt tip pen ?

Rinse in plain water, repeat! DO NOT use hot water on synthetic as it will shrink.

If that dont work get some "vanish" put a small amount and make a paste, apply leave to soak prior to washing in plain cool water.

Hope this helps. ?
