Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has shelved a proposal for the construction of a cable car for Phu Kradueng mountain resort in the northeastern province of Loei.

Government spokesman Lt-Gen Sansern Kaewkamnerd said Tuesday that the cabinet did not consider the cable car project because the prime minister felt that it was proposed by just a group of people without feedbacks from other stakeholders and also without any study report to back up it up.

For the project to be considered by the cabinet, he said it must go through screening process with all stakeholders sharing their inputs, such as the Loei chamber of commerce and the provincial industrial office.

Even in Swiss, Austria or Italy those cablecars sometimes jam or have big issues. Those countries have the best rescueservices of the world though.

I won't go in a thai cablecar, even not if the Swiss installed it. I even won't go on a Thai boat, driving motocy in BKK is my limit about taking risks.

Please read the statistics on motorcycle & cable car accidents (?) in Thailand!

I thought this read people reject Prayut lol

Sorry but that's just not sincere.

The Doi Suthep development in Chiang Mai is a case in point.
