I have been reading up on this and it does seem very simple, but I still have one big question that I can not find the answer to.

 

- Do I need to travel to Bangkok to go the Embassy there with my girlfriend?

 

It seems like a big waste of time to go all the way their, I live in London here is it possible to see the Embassy here in England or can I send her all the information she needs and goes there herself?

No. You can send any supporting documents to her. She needs to submit everything in Bangkok.

As elviajero has implied, it’s your girlfriends application, she applies online and then submits her supporting documents for scanning at the visa application centre, not any Embassy, as well as having her biometric details captured, in Thailand.

There is no British Embassy in the UK.

You play no part in the process whatsoever, apart from sending any appropriate supporting evidence to your girlfriend in Thailand.
