The tower of........?!?!

Does this have anything to do with Thailand apart from that fact that you paid for the ticket with Baht?

I'm curious to know why it's pronounced "babble", when the spelling would suggest it should be as in bagel, and does it have any reference to the tower of Babel, as in the Bible?

While we are on the subject of brilliant films (slightly off topic) try and see "Apocalypto" as well. IMO should be the best film at the Oscars..

I really liked Babel. I like to call it "this year's 'Crash'". It has been nominated for seven (7) Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Original Screenplay and two Best Supporting Actress' nods. The three interwoven stories all involve the challenges we face communicating within and across cultures and the world. It is currently showing in Bangkok at many theatres including MBK, Paragon and Apex-Lido. Highly recommended, 5/5.

It's OK skippy and xgirl are eagerly awaiting the next "Van Damme" film .So they will have their moment at that time.. :o
