pancakeman
I'm currently working for a Thai company with work permit, visa, paying social security and income tax in Thailand. I am located in Thailand. If were to move outside of Thailand (to UK), but still working remotely as an employee of the Thai company; do I still need a work permit in Thailand? Do i still need to pay social security tax and income tax in Thailand?
BritTim
No work permit is required to do work remotely for a Thai company from outside Thailand. Social security would not be payable. I am not entirely sure about the tax situation. Talk to a good accountant.

He would be liable for UK income tax, and given there is a reciprocal tax agreement with tax, he has no work permit etc with Thai Company he would not get hit again for tax in Thailand.. The Thai company would most likely withhold tax if he is an employee.
