Video: A British pensioner's shame! Stole his neighbor's mattress and cash while he was away

I truly fail to see the reason for these reenactments--especially for something so minor as a simple theft.  What a huge waste of police time. I guess they are done for some 'Look at me! I'm actually doing some work!' press coverage for the police but, seriously?

Even with the mask, he looks like that Geordie bloke who was the foreman in “Auf Wiedersehen Pet”.....

I doubt this guy is a poster on here. He is clearly not upto date on modern technology if he does not realise his apartment has cctv.

The Police chief in the video does not have parachute wings on his shirt, that's the first one I've ever seen without them.

He not like flying

His neighbors immediately fell under suspicion

Interesting that his good friend was the first person considered presumably even before viewing the video.

It’s easy to work out it’s a inside job , you would be noticed walking out the lobby with a mattress , what a <deleted>, I see in the pic  he even has. A cigarette in his hand in the friends room.

Finally . Did no one else note the cigarette?

Did his friend say he could smoke in his room?

Smelling up the apartment with odor of tobacco about him, bad breath, and yellowed fingers. Now stealing a crummy mattress.

Rot in gaol you common trash!

When you’re 72 years old and stealing off your neighbour (friend) it’s time to <deleted> off and die.

Not in anyway defending, but the word desperation comes to mind, AND how did he know the cash was available

From an Islamic amputation point of view - cut his fingers and remove the watchers eyes to prevent it from happening again....

What more to say about those 2 tragic figures that most likely deserve each other - With a total life experience of (72 + 45) 117 years, one should expect better ... Just Sad....
