I agree the Holocaust was probably the worst event in the last century, sadly lessons weren't learned. The fact millions of Jews died is only part of the tragedy. The real tragedy is that an entire population could be brainwashed to go along with it. Lessons weren't learned. We are seeing the same thing now with MAGA and Republicans and we are seeing the same thing now with Israelis and Gaza Palestinians. Your own people here on this forum are freely saying that Jews are superior to Palestinians. The culture in the IDF allows them to target children, shooting them in different places each day. To shoot those seeking aid. I know you don't believe this, you say you don't, but I think secretly you know deep down the culture instilled in Israeli people is allowing this to happen. Clearly, lessons have not been learned and to say Never Again is Today, Israelis must learn that lesson first. ALL people are created equal. There can be NO chosen people. Religion is another issue, I like to use my own test on religions, a test of goodness and modernity. Does all that a religion preaches meet the test of "goodness", does it past the test of "time". Approving things like slavery immediately tells me it's false. Treating human beings with inequality tells me it's false (Islam, Judaism, Christianity). A supreme being a jealous god, tells me it's false. A supreme being who needs to be worshipped, tells me it's nonsense. But that is way off-topic. To answer your second point. Those who think of a Jewish conspiracy to dominate the world are mistaken, I hesitate to use the world lunatics. I suspect some of them are antisemitic, racist too. I do think Israel has too much influence on the US and I think it's time to cut Israel loose. Many analysts believe that will happen in our lifetimes. Israel has the ultimate means to defend itself. The creation of Israel in the 1940's was a noble event. What has happened since is a travesty. Jews were supposed to share the land with those there already. All the bad things since stem from what happened afterwards. Until that is addressed, there can never be peace. The time has come for Israel to turn back to its founding principles, introduce sectarian government and share what it has with those it wronged. IMHO, antisemites can be identified by tarring all Jews with the same brush, being against Israel & the IDF as I am does not make me an antisemite. I am happy to welcome any Jew into my home and share food with them. But if they support what Israel & the IDF are doing, I don't want to hear it.
