Gen Prawit: Election campaigns not yet allowed

I have to say, a short, intense, say, 2-month campaigning period would be much more civilized.

736,000 and rising, compared with 16,000 dislikes. So about 48 to 1 in favour. Hopefully we will see the same ratios when the election finally happens and get rid of the Junta, despite their blatant electioneering, while forbidding their opposition from being able to do so.

You forget the one million who remained silent!

Last night on the Thai television news it showed, Suthep Thaugsuban, leader of the yellow shirts marching with his henchmen down a street. And I thought, here we go again, more trouble afoot.

Before the last coup Thailand was on the verge of a civil war and if another election is on the political agenda soon with the same mobs as before, then be prepared for another big showdown.

This is why I cannot see how the present junta can step down and I am hoping and praying they won`t for reasons I have mentioned above.

...and he said that with a straight face, while Prayut is touring the country, giving speeches and handouts, left and right and campaigning for all it's worth!

Pathetic!

Prayut almost started a civil war. He may still start one if he cheat in the next election and remain as the big D.
