"Would any of your other family members be affected if your application was refused?"

I am British and my Wife is Thai. She has been in the Uk for c.3 years and it is time for the visa application, the above question is causing a little bit of concern. As her husband I would be effected as it would mean I would have to go back with her, give up my life and family (parents) here, and to be quite frank I would not be able to earn enough there to live comfortably and would have continuous visa issues- I would have to use up my savings to keep us in the life we are accustomed to (and to pay for health insurance....), and to be frank once they are sufficiently depleted would have no choice other than return to the UK. Does anyone have any sort of feedback as to the responce they are looking for/expecting?

My second question relates around another part of the application which asks if we would find it impossible to settle back in her home country. In short the answer is no, but be have chosen to live in the UK. I initially answered yes citing job in the UK, family links, property owned in the UK..... however then I wondered if the answer No would be best as I wondered if this was to do with assylum seekers being at risk in their home. I dont want to state No and miss the chance to state the issues, however I suspect they want to here a No, because they want to know there are no "issues" back in thailand. Does that make sense? any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks

This is for her visa to be extended past the 3 year point to stay in the UK. My question was regarding whether or not my understanding of the question and hence the answer I am considering is correct. thanks
