TSB

Featured Replies

I am getting 'denied access ' logging on - anyone else.

Me too.

I turned on my proxy server (virtually locating myself in the UK) and TSB online banking worked fine.

The reasons could be :-

1. A new TSB policy denying online banking access from dodgy countries like Thailand. Probability 10%. They have made no announcement but it is possible.

2. The ISP, in my case 3BB, mucking around with security settings. Probability 50%. If this is the case it will get cleared soon enough.

3. The Thai government spying (they do, you know) on traffic and getting the ISP to do things they shouldn't and the TSB's systems then knowing there is a problem with the security integrity. Probability 39%. This will also clear as nothing is as inconsistent as the Thai government's IT.

4. Something else. Probability 1%

You could phone the TSB or phone the ISP or buy a proxy server service.

Thank you for your reply. I have tried telephoning - impossible to get through. I will wait and see what happens.

Are you also with 3BB?

Actually, also access denied on my tablet with DTAC sim, so it looks like it is not reason 2, the ISP.

TOT

It's back again now. All good.

It has happened before. I believe it is clumsy interception of foreign traffic by the Thai Government that causes some foreign websites to temporarily become unavailable. It generally lasts no longer than a day and can be circumvented using a VPN.
