I assume its still ok to take a laptop and iPhone as carry on. If I have a small nintendo games consul with me can that go as carry on as well or as check in luggage? It has one of the small round batteries I think?

I just went to Europe  a month ago, and yes you can take your laptop and iPhone. As for Nintendo hand held game, I don't see any reason for not allowing it. 

You can Google your airlines name and words "battery policy" and you should get the info you need.
