Police in  Suphanburi are hunting for a delivery driver after he shot his wife dead in an apparent argument over another man.

Pol Capt Piyarat Phumrin and medical services went to a house in Samchuk district of the central Thai province where they found 42 year old Chanada Sujitranuphap dead from two gunshot wounds to the left chest.

Chanada was known as "Jae Mon" and was a seller sweet items at the local market.

A 9mm gun was also found at the scene along with spent cartridges.

The shooter is her husband Phachorn Kwangdorn also known as Dong Yanyao who is a delivery driver.

The shooter's grandmother Prasitsri Nuchanart, 83, told police that the victim came home to sleep after selling her wares at the market.

Her grandson came home in a foul temper and an argument ensued. She believed it was over another man.

Three shots ran out.

She went to the bedroom where she saw Phachorn cradling his dead wife in floods of tears.

But in the confusion he soon realized the consequences and fled the scene.

She said that her grandson was a Ya Ba user who owned a gun. When high he would always argue with his wife.

The hunt for the shooter is now on.
