Thanks, I bought a bag full of candles to dot around the boundaries tomorrow evening.

I might get a few fireworks for the kid.

Sorry, I don't do poetry.

Being around hand held fireworks on the Nawarrat bridge back in 2013 was the last time for me.

Simply not worth the risk.

They followed up by banning them but did they??

This is a Haiku

Five syllables, then seven

Then five more. Got it?

Let the environmental disaster commence.

50,000 Buddhists are going to send their bad spirits, karma and ghosts of the past year down the river in tiny Kratongs never to be seen again..........

Wrong

The 200bt a day pedalo driver at the Pa Daed flood gates has got a hell of a weekend job on his hands clearing what will be 10 rai of debris in a cemetary of bad spirits.

I hope he/she finds something to make it worthwhile: demons are a ghouls best friend apparently

Seemed low key...tons of folks walking down chang moi today......tons of lanterns on river--otherwise seemed low key on canal etc.......just seemed kept within old city to river........and hear comes the fireworks noise...

It was joyful for us; but, note to future myselves: do not cross Iron Bridge at 10PM with bicycle at height (depth ?) of the celebration.  Absence of fireworks on the bridge this year deeply appreciated.
