A place with good shoulders

On another thread, it was suggested that another poster’s cry for help may have been a request for a shoulder to cry on, for sympathy, rather than an invitation to ridicule and lambast.

If you were looking for a shoulder to cry on, for empathy and sympathetic support, which forum do you think would be the most kind, least judgemental?

How about a real person and not the internet?

If you don't know anybody you trust go to a temple or a church.

On the internet there will always be bad people. If you are lucky they ridicule you from the beginning. If you are not so lucky they seem to help you first and then, when you get used to that help, they try to sell you something or bring you in a cult or something like that.

The annual POTY thread is usually full of compassion, love and communion.

For me DIY.

You can’t really cry on your own shoulder. It’s like licking your elbow - sometimes you need a friend

Licking your own elbow is a bit like sucking your own CxxK...... Just because you can doesn't mean you should....????
