I agreed that mental health & physical health policy & treatment of British veterans & the mentally ill is appalling. The existence of foodbanks is appalling. But they are still viewed far more sympathetically (although, I think it is just words often rather than effective help) than those who are asylum seekers (one of my ex-students was from Benghazi, Libya - a very good decent human being - but had to escape when Force Majure was declared as it was disintegrating), immigrants or refugees. Your statement/comment illustrates my point. -

Wise removes Long Stay Reason on Transfers
I emailed Wise yesterday about the difficulties and implications posed by their actions and requested them to reinstate the relevant phrase on their list. They have asked me to be patient whilst their team investigates the matter. The more people that complain to Wise to reinforce our concerns the better. It is not just visa issues, but why should Thailand based clients be asked to tell “porkies” concerning purchase of property which may not be the legitimate reason behind any transfer in order to record an FTT transaction! -

Because its a fact that as one ages ones mental and physical capacity is reduced. Classing geriatrics as unfit for certain occupations or professions is not bigotry , its common sense. Just take a look at Mr Prawit, The guy can hardly walk, seems to communicate in grunts ( when he is not asleep at his post) , and is obviously unfit for the position he holds, all due to his age. Nothing bigoted about that it is just common sense. There are no 70 year olds representing their countries in the Olympics , Would that be due to bigotry or is it just common sense ? -
