Wise removes Long Stay Reason on Transfers
They are not directing anybody to do anything. If none of the remaining reasons for transfer applies then there is "other". If that gets the receiver the wished for tagging as a foreign transfer is a totally separate issue. -

BBC Admits Past Lapses in Addressing Celebrity Misconduct
Exactly. No coercion involved. It's a choice and the rules are as clear as day. I believe the payment is to use the services. Not for perverts. A very small minority have been found to have broken the law. They've been subsequently sacked and dome charged with offences. There are undesirables everywhere. Were Harrods shoppers paying for a pervert? Are all those living in Thailand with kids at school paying for perverts? Is anyone putting money on a collection plate in a Catholic church paying for perverts? The millions that give alms and attend temples, are they paying for perverts? No, they are not. They are paying for something they want, belive in or want to support. Sadly, a small minority tarnish such things. -

Wise removes Long Stay Reason on Transfers
We can buy property but not the land it sits on, hence Farangs can buy condos. I know there is a way to set up a company that buys a house and land but this is not strictly cosha as if you are investigated you will be found out, it is not intended for individuals to buy a house to live in. Companies set up to buy multiple properties for business is legal but farangs can only own 49% of the company, this is where your half-Thai, half-farang kids come to be useful (for a change😄). -

Phuket Prison’s Bold Push to Reform Drug Dealers Kicks Off
In a groundbreaking initiative aimed at transforming drug dealers into model citizens, Phuket has launched the fourth edition of its revamped Prison Scout Volunteers for Social Development programme. The project seeks to reform inmates, cultivate positive mindsets, and offer a pathway out of their criminal past. With Phuket Governor Sophon Suwannarat absent, the relaunch ceremony on September 19 at Phuket Provincial Prison was led by Vice Governor Sattha Thongkham. Attendees included Phuket Prison Director Akom Phusri and representatives from the Provincial Probation Office and the Phuket Promthep Scout Club. The programme, admitting 100 participants each cycle, is part of a broader effort by the Department of Corrections. Their larger plan targets eight key areas of improvement, such as upgrading prison security, modernising inmate treatment systems to international standards, and providing education and vocational training that aligns with real-world job markets. Training, facilitated by the Education and Mental Development Division, takes place from September 19 to 22. Inmates are taught to adhere to the Scout Oath, emphasising values like self-discipline, unity, and respect for the nation, religion, and monarchy. “This is about preparing inmates for life outside prison,” noted a spokesperson. Crucially, the programme invites external agencies to participate, ensuring a robust support system for inmates upon release. With a focus on rehabilitation and reintegration, this initiative aims to transform lives and offer former criminals a fresh start. File photo for reference only -- 2024-09-20 -

Facebook minimum age?
Google, today, just a moment before I posted it. I posted the link from the picture in Google search. I did not insert a picture. I am sure the AseanNow admins can find the link which I posted if they really want to know. My whole point was and is: Pictures of children are everywhere, not only on social media.
