UK to Thailand bank transfer at New Year

Featured Replies

I get my UK company pension paid on the last working day of each month, this month the last working day in the UK is 31/12/2018 and so it will be paid on that day.  However, in Thailand New Years Eve appears to be a bank holiday so my question is will I receive my pension on the 31st. or will I have to wait until 2nd. January?  Usually the money is transferred from UK to Thailand and then forwarded to my account 'upcountry' on the due date, it usually arrives 10.15 - 10.45am.  Is this process automated or does it require human intervention?  If it requires a staff member to forward the payment to my account, do the banks have staff to do this on 'bank holidays'?  Thanks to anyone who knows.

You will not receive until the 2nd since it is not a fully automated transaction.
