Smog in Pattaya

I heard Tommy Dee on 103FM in the morning saying that it was not smog but early morning mist or something.........????

Just before sunset today, at around 5.30pm, the smog (or whatever it is) in Jomtien was thicker than I have ever seen it. So presumably not early morning anything.

Windows tightly closed, air-con on for the foreseeable future. And I wont be going outside either.

Quite nice around Siam Square this morning

Never knew they built a 2nd Siam Square in Pattaya, or have they relocated the one from BKK to here? Can you let us all know where it's located in Pattaya?

Yesterday was really bad in the late afternoon, I got AQI 166 and you could smell it and see it.  Looks better today.

Looks a bit better today but you can still smell it outside. On the other hand BKK this morning reached a 403 AQI rating, with a rating of "hazardous".

Has anyone found any N95 masks with a valve in Pattaya? I like the ones that allow exhaling. AQBlue works well, but those are only in VN and China.

I have had no luck here in Bangkok finding anything.

Are those readings from the doors and windows closed for a few days? How much do you get if you open the doors and test it standing on the balcony?

Indoors with doors and windows open from about 7AM this morning..

during the day I open the windows and doors to let in the "fresh air" ????

in the evening close the windows and doors to stop mosquitoes, cut down noise from the Soi Dog Singers and Mr no exhaust pipe + turn on aircon to cool the place down.

Yes today we're back to red alert .  My SNDWAY are flashing red outside on my balcony and that means trouble.

128 is AQI 188 , time to wear a mask and stay indoor if you can,

Today the smog is absolutely disgusting and smells bad as soon as you step on the balcony. It's difficult to see Pratumnak hill from 2nd Rd. Is today the worst it's ever been in Pattaya?

Earlier this morning I was getting readings of 140 for PM2.5  its dropped down to 70 (ish)

viability not as bad as it has been  but still pretty murky.

I  don't know that visibility has improved as when I look out the window it's still as bad as this morning, which is the worst it's ever been in the few months I've been here.
