JAS21
If you have to take them three times a day you get the instructions ...after breakfast, lunch and dinner. That seems strange to me because in the UK you woild take then every eight hours eg 2pm ... 10pm ....6am and make sure that you had some food before taking. My wife tells me breakfast-lunch-dinner is the Thai way... anyone know why you don't space the time between tablets equally ... rak sa_ngop
Probably for the same reason why you are told you cannot drink alcohol while taking antibiotics: You might forget to take them if you get drunk. Easier to remember to take the correct number of pills a day if you link to meal times.
Kieran00001
Some antibiotics are recomended to be taken at regular intervals and others not so, they are just different drugs that are absorbed differently and broken down at different rates, there are plenty which can either be taken four times per day or twice per day at a doubled dose with no evidence of any change in result. If it is deemed necessary to take an antibiotic at strict intervals then your doctor will tell you that, and if it doesn't matter a jot then they will tell you take them at loosly indicitive times, such as meal times or sleep times.
