Wilko to kick England to victory.

Has he been given the all clear? This morning they were doubtful as he missed training yesterday due to a Tight Hamstring or something like that!!

Your right, just heard from a friend that Robinson and Wilko are doubts, still close though , I think there will be the usual ruck punchups, very physical whatever the result.

Rugby: O'Sullivan accuses England over Wilko rugby injury

Posted: 23 February 2007 2319 hrs

DUBLIN : Ireland coach Eddie O'Sullivan on Friday accused England of "playing silly buggers" over Jonny Wilkinson's availability for Saturday's Six Nations clash at Croke Park.

England have claimed their star flyhalf is a doubtful starter as a result of a tight hamstring -- a suggestion that O'Sullivan openly ridiculed.

"They're playing silly buggers at the moment," O'Sullivan said. "I'd be amazed if he doesn't play tomorrow. I think it is quite funny actually.

"If you think about it, if I had an outside half like Jonny Wilkinson -- and I do -- and he had a tight hamstring -- and he doesn't -- the last people I'd tell is the media. So think about it."

O'Sullivan's sceptical view of the veracity of England's injury updates was backed by his captain Brian O'Driscoll, who returns to the Ireland team after missing the 20-17 defeat by France two weeks ago which shattered their hopes of a Grand Slam.

"Teams sometimes play these sort of games beforehand," O'Driscoll said. "Each to their own but I'd say that if they have to wheel Jonny out on to the pitch tomorrow they would do it."

England have definitely lost wing Jason Robinson to injury, and O'Sullivan agreed that the loss of the former skipper, who has scored three of England's five tries in their two matches in the tournament so far, was a blow to his opposite number Brian Ashton.

"Jason's come back for England and shown a huge appetite for the game and his strike rate has been very good, so it has definitely been a setback for them," he said.

O'Sullivan knows little about Robinson's replacement, the uncapped Harlequins 23-year-old, David Strettle.

"We don't know much about him which is a slight advantage for England," the Irish coach said. "He has got a lot of pace and in some ways it is a straight swap but with all Jason's experience, I'm sure they would have preferred that tomorrow."

The usual edge to Ireland-England matches has been sharpened this year by the fact that the match is taking place at Croke Park while Lansdowne Road undergoes reconstruction.

The 82,500-capacity stadium is the spiritual home of Ireland's traditional Gaelic games and 'foreign' sports such as rugby union and soccer were forbidden until this year.

The stadium also has a particular place in Ireland's history as the site of the 1920 'Bloody Sunday' slaying, in which 13 Irish citizens were killed by British paramilitaries.

While O'Sullivan reiterated his appeal for Ireland's supporters to treat the occasion as a purely sporting affair, O'Driscoll acknowledged that the venue and its history had added to the pressure on his side to deliver a fourth straight victory over the English.

"I said to the boys that in the inaugural year of playing in Croke Park, we certainly don't want to be 'played two, lost two'. In that sense there is an extra element of pressure on us although there is less pressure because the Grand Slam is no longer on for us.

"It will probably be used in some shape as a form of motivation, wanting to beat England in Croke Park, although of course we like to beat them any time we play."

Ireland go into the match as the bookies favourites -- a status O'Sullivan said he was comfortable with, although he predicted that there would not be much in the scores on Saturday evening.

"We are capable of beating England but I've been reminding everybody that the last three victories have all been by less than one score," he said.

"In a one score game they are capable of beating us, and I think it will be a one score game again tomorrow. It could be the bounce of the ball again as it was against France."

O'sullivans take on the Wilkinson issue mr Boj, I think he will play, but it will be O'Gara who will be kicking the winning points.

Probably right Moss. Personally i'd play him from his hospital bed if i'd have to. We miss him when he's not around.

However, with my new Irish citizenship, i don't know who i want to win anymore :o
