Agusts Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 I saw this on the BBC and thought you should see it: Nera: The 3D-printed electric motorbike - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-46894072 Sorry, but this looks ugly, how about some paint, all futurists vesicles have to be matt black, like batman....! ?
Kwasaki Posted January 28, 2019 Posted January 28, 2019 If electric and a reasonable price be sure people will by it. Doubt if it would be given road legal in say UK.
JonnyF Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 Not sure why they made it so ugly. Looks like the Honda Vultus' pet dog. I can see some benefits in terms of being able to print off spare parts at a moments notice but for 2000 pounds (82,000 baht) you can get a fairly decent conventional scooter like a N-Max. Even if they could halve that price I'd probably rather have a Honda Wave for 40,000. I can see huge potential of 3D printing for lots of applications but I'm not sure it's best suited to making complete motorcycles, at this stage anyway.
