Hello community.

I am currently situated in Bangkok.

have too high of a hemoglobin level to donate blood at Red Cross so I don't know where to turn anymore. Are there any good hematologist doctors or doctors that specialize in high iron in the blood (hemachrosis) ? I am having trouble finding any in Bangkok . Mostly Sukhumvit Hospital did not have any center for this specialization.

If not, is there another whole blood donation center or a hospital that supports and is willing to do a therapeutic phlebotomy?

All opinions and answers are welcome please.

Thank you very much everyone

Have you been previously diagnosed with genetic hemochromatosis?

There is no issue of a hospital being "willing" to do a phlebotomy nor does it need any special type of equipment or supply  to do this, it is a very simple procedure. It can be done in any hospital  IF a hematologist on staff there orders it.

Your issue is to find a hematologist with some experience of this condition.

Suggest one of these;

(can also be seen at Chulalongkorn)

Should be one at Vachira, the main government hospital.

Could also ask at Mission though a bit less likely as it is smaller
