grab taxi airport..Domestic terminal

Hi Coming to Phuket next week and need to know about taxis from airport and in general.I haven't been there for a long time but everytime have had trouble with inflated fares or maniac drivers.1.Can I get a grab taxi at airport and for trips around the island?2.Are taxi meters reliable or do the drivers generally  still drive like maniacs to get to their next fare?..any recommendations for a safe,reliable and taxi company will be appreciated .thank you in advance .Thomas

A gross generalisation. A lady friend of my wife is a taxi driver and she most certainly is not a lunatic.
