Spouse Visa Interview

Featured Replies

Hi All

After using the useful advice on this site (thanks everyone who contributed) we applied for a Spouse visa on the 23rd of Feb, submitting an application that was at least an inch thick!! Today my wife was called to tell her she has an interview on the 19th of March.

Can anyone tell me what questions she is likely to be asked please. I know everyone is different but I read that there are different types of Interview( the 5 min or the 1 hour??).

Any tips would be gratefully recieved.

Regards

Si

How long the interview lasts will largely depend upon the circumstances of your wife's application. However, as a general rule, they will focus principally on her knowledge of you and your background; e.g. what your hobbies are, what you like to eat, what you do together, and how many brothers/sisters you have etc.

Scouse.

As Scouse says, the length of the interview and the type of questions asked is dependant on the individual circumstances and how she presents herself in the interview, i.e her overall confidence in answering and how her answers relate to each other and the written evidence.

Thailand-UK has in their forum a Thai/English version of 'Possible interview questions', but it is in the members only section so you will have to register with them to access it.
