Hi there all. 

 

Have heard news that Thailand has put South Africa on the red list of countries. Is this true? 

 

If so what does it entail? 

I want to do a visa run to myanmar from South Africa and was wondering if I will come across any problems now in light of this redlisting situation.

I have seen nothing about that.

South Africa is still on the most recent list of countries that get 30 day visa exempt entries.

It appears you cannot do the runs to the Myanmar border. This from a visa run companies website.

"Cambodia border OK to stamp South African & Russian, Myanmar border NOT OK."

It could be a problem on the Myanmar side of the border not doing a border pass for South Africans.
