Shocking Discovery as Newborn Baby’s Body Found in Canal in Samut Prakan
Picture from responders. A heart-wrenching discovery was made in Samut Prakan as a newborn baby girl’s body was found discarded in a canal near Suvarnabhumi Airport on January 5. The child, wrapped in a traditional Burmese sarong and placed in a black-grey shoulder bag, was discovered by a local resident who was searching for shellfish along the canal. At approximately 17:00, police from Bang Phli Police Station, led by Lieutenant Colonel Buensert Kingkes, arrived at the scene along with forensic experts, rescue teams, and officials from the Ramachakri Hospital’s forensic department. Upon examination, the body of the newborn was found to be fully intact, including the umbilical cord and placenta, suggesting the child had been born within the last 24 hours. Inside the bag, the baby was wrapped in a sarong, alongside a set of women’s clothes, a black T-shirt, and a newborn girl’s outfit. Additionally, a single incense stick and three candles were found inside the bag, which appeared to have been lit in an attempt to ‘appease the spirit’ of the child. Authorities believe this act may have been an attempt to perform a ritual. The first person to encounter the scene, Mr. Phratewan Duangtecha, described how he was fishing and searching for shellfish along the canal when he noticed the bag floating near the edge. Upon closer inspection, he found the bag partially zipped and opened it, revealing the body of the baby. Shocked, he immediately contacted authorities. Bang Phli Police Chief, Colonel Phairoj Phetphol, instructed the investigation team to swiftly gather clues and trace the identity of the child’s mother. Initial findings suggest that the baby may have been from Myanmar, as the bag contained a Burmese sarong and a package with Burmese writing. Authorities are still uncertain whether the child died from birth complications or from drowning, and a detailed autopsy is expected to provide further insight. -- 2025-01-06 -

I use a Shoei neotec 2 modular helmet, the fit is great and ventilation is good. low wind noise It cost a little more then other brands, but i want to protect what's inside, I am on my second one as i had an accident and smacked the road surface very hard with the helmet, didn't get any injuries myself but i have never used that helmet again, just went and got another one, consumable item. -

The Looming Economic Storm in Europe
I put a question to chatGPT "what is the probability of a Great Depression 2". Initially it replied 50%. But chatGPT is programmed not to offend and upset people so - I cannot remember the exact words, I challenged it with facts, then it changed it's view to 90 to 95%.. and apologizing and gave some sort of explanation as to why it does not look at facts critically which I had forced it to do... chatGPT does carry with it a lot of social dangers if you just take what it says uncritically.. but the one thing it cannot do, is to run away - so you can bring it to account and get some sort of "real" answer. I listed the many similarities to the 1929 Great Depression. Some are quite striking like the introduction of AI. The introduction of the tractor in the 1920's led to a huge loss of jobs as horses were no longer needed - not unlike the manufacturing changes we are seeing now. Nothing needs to be said about the dangers in the financial markets particularly with the very very high levels of private debt... so an economic storm in Europe would be par for the course - and it will not only be Europe. Of course many less than first world countries are already in economic hurricanes.. South Africa, Pakistan, most of South America and and other parts of Africa... -

Advise sought on second hand PCX or Nmax
I don't mind buying used bikes (or cars) , I test ride it, check it out, and see if the owner is reliable and someone who take care of his bike, then go for it.... But some people just like new bikes only, not sure I think they might be of the type who also liked their future wife to be a virgin...!? 😜 😅 Bad joke I know, but it's the first thing that always comes to my mind..., no but seriously, buying new bike also has its advantages, for me, I rather spend the saving on aftermarket extras or kit etc. That Nmax you found IS basically a new bike...! -

Elderly Woman Killed in Crash After Colliding with Parked Pickup Truck
Picture from responders. An elderly woman lost her life after her car collided with the rear of a parked pickup truck on the Western Ring Road (Route 9) in Sam Khok district, Pathum Thani, on the afternoon of January 5. At approximately 12:20, police were alerted to the crash at kilometre marker 69 in Moo 6, Klong Khwai subdistrict, opposite the Lotus Sam Khok warehouse. Lt. Suk San Cha-on, Deputy Traffic Inspector of Sam Khok Police Station, arrived at the scene alongside emergency responders and rescue volunteers. The collision occurred in the leftmost lane of the road heading toward Bang Pa-in. A grey Honda car was found with its front severely damaged and the windshield shattered. Two vehicle license plates, broken glass, and parts of a pickup truck’s rear lights were scattered on the road. Inside the driver’s seat of the Honda, rescuers discovered the lifeless body of Mrs. Sombat, aged 69. Approximately 30 metres ahead, a white Toyota pickup truck, still running, was parked. The truck, loaded with a handlift and an oxygen tank, showed damage to its rear. The driver, Mr. Teerapong, aged 36, stated that he and his younger brother were en route from Lat Lum Kaeo district, Pathum Thani, to Ayutthaya for work. “We pulled over to the left shoulder to grab some lunch,” Mr. Teerapong explained. “The engine was still running when, out of nowhere, the Honda crashed into the back of my truck with great force. My brother and I rushed to check the driver, but sadly, she had already passed away. We immediately called the police and emergency services.” Relatives of the deceased arrived at the scene shortly after being informed of the accident. Mrs. Rabieb, aged 68, the victim’s younger sister, tearfully recounted that her sister had visited her home earlier that day but did not find her there. “I was out shopping when she arrived, but when I returned, I found that she had left a meal for me. I later messaged her to thank her, unaware it would be the last time. Not long after, my nephew called to tell me she had been in an accident.” Mrs. Sommit, an 18-year-old grandson of the victim, added that his grandmother had informed the family that morning she was going to visit her sister. “I thought she’d stopped at the market on her way back. Then the police called to say she’d been in a crash.” Preliminary investigations suggest the deceased may have fallen asleep at the wheel or suffered a medical episode while driving. Relatives disclosed that she had a history of diabetes. Police have called for forensic experts to examine the scene and the body. They will review nearby CCTV footage to determine the exact cause of the crash. The body will be sent to the Ministry of Justice’s Forensic Science Institute for further examination before being released to the family. The investigation is ongoing. -- 2025-01-06 -

Where is the best place to buy pork loin for roasting in oven?
We buy almost all our protein from Makro. Seafood, usually frozen. Chicken breast, no prob, but don't buy the local, scrawny free range chickens from fresh market. Only the fat, plumb, tender ones from Makro, and CP product, I believe. Breasts are not very forgiving, so don't overcook them. No later than 165°F. Do use a thermometer. Thighs & legs you can abuse to damn near 200°F, and still tender & juicy.
