The National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation Department’s Phaya Sua task force on Monday joined forces with police and related officials in Ratchaburi’s Suan Phueng district in arresting a Thai man for the alleged sale of protected-wildlife products online.

They made the arrest after seizing 47 pieces of incriminating evidence from the property they searched during the operation, department official Panatchakorn Phobundit said.

Officers had a search warrant for a house in Tambon Tha Keuy where the suspect, Adul Matleuang, presented himself as the home-owner.

After they found 23 pieces of clouded leopard skin, 13 pieces of Asian golden cat skin, nine pieces of leopard cat skin, and two pieces of muntjac horn – together said to be worth Bt408,700 – the man was arrested and taken to Suan Phueng police station for further legal processing.
