Tax ID Number

Looking for information on the requirements and procedures for obtaining a Tax ID Card. The HomePro and Big C internet shopping sites require a Tax ID Number to open an account. I’m located in Pattaya.

The tax office in Pattaya is just off 2nd Road past the Hanuman statue in Jomtien. Take the first left after that. I got mine a few years ago to get my bank interest refunded. I just turned up, filled in a form which they provide and show your passport. I forget if i needed proof of residence but probably best to have something with you, driving licence or utility bill. Also helps to have a thai speaker with you.

Yes if you pay tax on any savings interest you can get it refunded.
