Good, so I do not have to cancel my bicycle trip tomorrow.  Maybe also most of Friday will be dry .

Where is JSixpack when you need him?

Usually around this time every year he'd ensure we had more info about Songkran in Pattaya than you could ever want.

Don't get too comfortable!

Got a report that spritzing into trapped baht buses has ALREADY started on Soi Buokaow.

A surefire sign of expats having left the city is there's no annual Songkran end of the world thread. Maybe the festivities have died down to just a few days climax as well.

Seems to me it will definitely be started by Friday night among the early ejaculators.

You should have had a walk down Soi 7 yesterday

You should consider south america, i hear there's no Songkran there.

Do some research and see what you think of it there....

Actually they have something roughly analogous many places in the Americas, Carnival.  Better look for some other continents.

That is not true.

It kicked off yesterday and won’t stop until the 19th in Pattaya. Later in Baan Beung, etc.

At least it's dry so far today, my bicycle ride to Jomtien went just fine. Hope it will stay the same tomorrow, before the big Bangkok crowd arrives for the weekend.

I live in Pattaya but I wouldn't be caught dead there now.  Hiding out in BKK until the 20th, when its safe to return.

Songkran in BKK is much more manageable.

This is indeed going to be interesting to follow.

Already started on some streets outside of downtown Chiangmai.

Only thing you can do is go out very early in morning shirt distances to store and back. It us a scorcher right now. Drink plenty if water and stay indoors, especially if older and wiser citizen.

I wish they could keep it to just the river or the sea
That way,the water doesn’t get wasted
I will stay indoors for this period ,and play my music very loud [emoji106]
