Batting first, I reckon you can add 20 runs to your score with scoreboard pressure. Reckon the Strikers have the best bowling line up in the comp, so why wouldn't you prefer to defend! Looking at those odds, Ken Hinkley will come under serious pressure if Port don't play finals. Speaking of coaches, who are under the most pressure? Hinkley and Goodwin for me. I don't think Melbourne has to play finals, but they cant finish bottom 4. Finals is a non-negotiable for Hinkley methinks. Essendon have a succession plan in place for Woosha so I won't include him. Our backs our developing very well best it's been in years. We have the most versitile ruckman in the comp, Rowan Marshall and with Ryder playing backup Marshall can float forward. Brad Hill will add extra speed out of the midfield. Saints didn't really play in the draft but did very well in the trade period. I'm with @Thechook about the Saints chances. They have done well in the trade period and drafted in some okay players. McCartin has been delisted. In many ways the Saints supports can thank Sydney, for providing them with Tim Membrey, Zak Jones and Hannebery. Should be challenging for the bottom of the 8 Melbourne has the cattle on paper to make the 8 and it will be a test for Goodwin. Both times and seasons leading up to it were pretty much like 2018.....though there wasnt a falling off the season after.....im fair confident Dee's WILL come out hitting hard slot in around 4th and may even make the big one... IMO, Brisbane are easily the best side of the last 2 decades. Hawks won 4 flags, granted. Three were against interstate clubs playing on their home ground. Not saying it wasn't a great effort, but Brisbane far more impressive. Was also around the time of the compromised draft due to the new teams so clubs were unable to rebuild. Brisbane, 3peat as well and were hugely disadvantaged by the rules at the time. In 2004 had to travel away to the Gee to play Geelong in a prelim even though they finished higher.
