I do hope that you guys can give me some valuable info regarding the following. I will be flying out of Thailand, and then come back at the 12th of june. I am thinking about instead of taking the bus, that I would really like to use airflight Bangkok-Khon Kaen....

a - can you guys recommend a cheap and good airline to use........

b - what kind of time in between the flights do I need in order not to end up in complete stress.....

grateful for your input...

Air Asia #1 in my opinion.  Thai landing at Swampy is great if you can afford the premium, though also need to factor in the cost and time spent travelling from DMK to BKK if landing at DMK.

I don't do taximeters from DMK as a complete nonsense on many occasions so just pay the limo concession outside of arrivals and have done with it.  Obviously costs quite a bit more.

You've just answered your own question.  Nice.

Reverse the previous answers if you need to still same same.

No question for me.

Thaismile from Suvarnabhumi.

I always used them on this route.

And they still beat AirAsia not to speak of NokAir in quality.

(AirAsia and Nok used on other routes with no alternative)

Unfortunately the times are over that they used a gate.

So always with the bus to a distant parking location.

Currently they have six daily flights.

07:00
10:50
13:35
16:40
18:40
21:25

I would do the same if available and my budget allows for either BKK or DMK.  Personally where I fly to then I've no other option than DMK and then on to Air Asia.

If flying into Swampy then I'd take Thai every time as I'm none too concerned about price as convenience is far more important.  I wouldn't touch Thai Smile.

And to my pleasure I see prices going down in June.

Some 900 Baht promos available.

And that includes 20 kg of baggage, seat reservation.

Snack, coffee, water served.

Fully disagree about Thaismile and Thai Airways does not serve such provincial routes anymore.

All handed over to Thaismile.

Only Phuket, Chiang Mai and maybe Samui served (errors excepted).

Please detail your experience/concern about Thaismile.

I have used them about 20 times over the last few years.

There is a FREE shuttle bus between airports. Last time it took me one hour.

Will pay the premium not to jump on the bus.

I've taken the time to check all the available options and Thai Airways definitely do fly to KKC, albeit at the premium price.

I hope this helps, OP.

I use to get a private car, limo from DMK to Swampy. Now use free shuttle bus. Only takes marginally longer than the limo.

No.

It's a code share (identical schedule, same plane operated by ThaiSmile) for those who have the need to collect miles, single booking from international etc.

Example: a "WE40" flight at 7 AM appears as a code share "TG2040".

No Thai Airways plane in Khon Kaen since many years.

Snacks, coffee etc also served (at no cost) at the ThaiSmile gate at KK.
