Disagree, most of the problems are in tourist areas, if you aren't trying to make/lend money, buy property or use red cabs/tuk tuks hardly any problems in Thailand.

I live in a gated community, there's nobody trying to scam me.

If they talk to you our of nowhere, Non scammer

Thais that speak English well enough to scam you won't go out of their way to speak to you near touristy place, those that do are definitely up to something
