Car Hire Help please???? Suvarnabhumi to Pat to Surin.

Featured Replies

Can someone please tell me the names of the car rental companies that are inside the main terminal at Suvarnabhumi?

I seem to remember last time I used AVIS but it was a mile or so away from the main building, and the car had no sat nav and was rather old.  I was not impressed.  Then time I was driving to Surin, then onto Buriram, where I dropped it off at the airport, which was quite handy.

This time I would like a different company, will then drive down to Pattaya onto Surin then drive back to BKK airport to drop off.

I am looking for sat nav, 4x4, and a newish car.

Any recommendations please????

International, Avis, there are lots all in the same area, you must have an International licence with you,  Unless you have a Thai Licence. Usualy there is a baht 10.000 deposit in case of theft < be careful as i  am still fighting to get my deposit back now, said returned to my band but not,

I've never had to show an idp to rent a car at bkk. (But I did have one the last few times) I've always rented through budget, reserved online, picked up at the terminal, returned to same. The normal players are in same area

Use Google maps on your phone. It's much better than the built in satnav in a car.

You can download maps to use offline if you will not have a mobile data connection.
