Retirement extension, combination method, think ok but need plan B.

Recommended Posts

As with probably a lot here have had to readjust, to hopefully satisfy IO for my extension, ( from UK no Emb letter.)

Had to change my bank because income wasn’t showing as an International Transfer, did this in Jan, so… I will only 8 months of Income, (Aug Visa Extension), which I can verify as pension income from the UK, totaling  392,000 baht for the 8 months, since May I will have 418,000 in the Bank therefore a total of above 800,000 for 3 months. Has anyone under similar circumstances been successful in obtaining the extension.

If it gets refused, can’t see why it should but we know life here!!

Can I get a one year visa with the same income/money in the bank, from Penang or anywhere else?

If I have to go back to the UK, I see I can get a Non O based on my UK state pension, seems all I have to show is proof of pension, I’m over 65, and that’s all I have to show? Seems a bit too easy? How long does the Non O last for, doesn’t state, (well I couldn’t find it!!) on the website, presume it's a ME for 12 mnths? and not the same as a Non O A for 50 and over where they need the insurance.

Thanks..

Yes, under the current postal service (or in person I presume), you can get a non-O ME at London, using your DWP state pension letter. It worked for sure in November 2018 anyway!

But the e-VISA system currently set to go live on the 15th of June, very unclear what will happen under that system....

All single entry Non-Os last for 90-day from the date of issue and the one and only entry is for is for 90-day

MEs last for one year and each entry is 90-day

Non O-A lasts for one year and each entry is for one year.
