In the fourth case, 38-year-old David Sykora, from the Czech Republic, was arrested on June 24. He is a convicted thief who is wanted in his home country for a theft of goods worth 3,790 Czech koruna (Bt5,200).

OMG, they are sending interpol red alerts for $150 theft now?

Was not several of the boys stuck in that cave stateless?

Four of them were, including the coach. The high level of global media coverage of the story meant the government really had no option but to fast track their citizenship, to avoid wider scrutiny on statelessness policy generally. Same happened with a couple of other cases recently where stateless youngsters had won the opportunity to compete in international events.

I'm sure this is the kind of future Morrissey was envisioning when he wrote the song...

"Shoplifters of the world
Unite and take over
Shoplifters of the world
Hand it over, hand it over, hand it over..."

Like the hilltribes here, thai government refuses to issue them passports. Most prominent case is prolly the cave rescue last year, most of the boys and trainer were stateless too...

So they arrest non pure enough thais now it seems, the purge is in full swing.

I am curious as to how you believe he is Thai if he is stateless.

Plenty of people here from Myanamar who have no proof of where they were born, we know a couple.
