PATTAYA:--Tourist Police came to the rescue of an elderly blind woman whose search for her estranged children led her to sleeping on Sattahip Beach.

Pattaya Tourist Police commander Pol. Lt. Col. Piyapong Ensarn visited Boonreuang Sirivej, 68, and a Good Samaritan helping her named Suriya Pansing at the pavilion opposite the Sattahip Police Station where she had been sleeping June 28.

Suriya explained that Boonreuang had come to Pattaya to find children she had not had contact with in 17 years, but she didn’t find any of them.

Homeless, she went to Pattaya Police Station where she was allowed to stay for a short time, but eventually was evicted, Suriya said.
