Just a quick bit of info for those that need an SMS to a roaming UK number to access their .gov.uk account

 

I am with SKY Mobile and can select TRUE or DTAC for roaming, however on TRUE the log-on SMS never arrives but if I change to DTAC it's there is seconds.

 

If you get a choice of network operator, try them all !

 

You can overcome the need for an SMS by installing the HMRC APP which has a handy "Access Codes" generator.
