  • So older Thai's are still showing signs of indoctrination, and younger Thai's are open-minded, so the supposedly older/wiser employees are harassing the younger ones? Nothing new here, welcome to Thai

It's clear! You must be politically neutral if you don't support the junta and its allies.

  • And if there were no end of selfies of smiling air hostesses standing beside Prayut, politely and admiringly gazing up at him - there would be no problem at all.  That would all be fine and dandy

I don't see anything wrong with a THAI flight attendant posing and posting a picture with the future forward leader. People need to get off their feelings.

That would all be fine and dandy. In fact, they would be praised for their patriotism and 'Thai-ness'. Of course. But let them dare be seen with the Devil himself - Thanathorn - oh no, no, no! That is utterly verboten.

God, this 'culture' is riddled with hypocrisy, double standards and lies!

And by 'culture', you mean the dribble that is force fed to the populace as a means of control for the old money elite and generals to stay in power.

In Thailand it's actually 2562 BACK to the Future has never been more apt.

Makes me wonder whether THAI is "controlled" by the Royal Thai Air Force - so no anti-military sentiment!!

Of course, the fact that the Government is the majority shareholder in THAI and that most ofthe board of directors are affiliated to the Government and/or military would have no bearing on this.

In his video message, Sumeth said THAI staff in uniform should remain politically neutral because they represent the organisation.

“Today, I have read news and I have seen messages on the social networks that affect the organization and make me feel uneasy. I would like to seek cooperation from staff and remind them that we are a state enterprise and must maintain neutrality on all issues. THAI staff are regarded as representatives of the organisation. Whenever you are in uniform, wearing y any symbol of THAI or are in the office or the workplace, always rememeber that you are representatives of the organisation,” Sumeth said.

I would agree with all of that, if it were applied across the board.

As another poster has pointed out, would this statement have been made if it was prayut posing with the cabin crew?

Don't think so...

Why shouldn't confined space waitresses have a political view?

In tomorrow’s news.

Flight attendants taking happy snaps with Mr Magoo on Prawit Airlines

Thai citizen are also Voters and therefore are entitled to form an opinion on how their Leaders perform,

as for uniforms it's only to show customers that employees work for a particular Company, in the same way as

banks, 7-eleven, KFC, etc.. and these employees have also the right to have opinions on the state

of their country.

Oddly enough I recall being on a TG flight while Swampy was being built and, upon engaging a flight attendant in conversation about it, was given her political opinions full barrel. However they would closely align with the establishment so I doubt she would have been subject to any penalty

Thai are connected to the military in a very big way, if I'm not mistaken. No wonder the CEO has released this threat.

Is Thai Airways politically neutral? This just a case of "do as I say, not what I do".

Paranoia and insecurity are the first emotions that grip a tyrant.

Not surprised a TG CEO puppet has a hissy fit.

Who cares if flight crew do selfies with politicans? Its nothing.

But THAI airways is of course the private airline of the Bangkok ruling elite subsidised by the taxpayer.

The clock is ticking for manchild Prayuth...tik tok tik tok.
