Hello,

I have w.p and visa from my old company which i were the owner (I'm selling it)

And now I have new company that will provide the work permit, and I just been told that i have to leave thailand for 3 months before they can issue me a new work permit.

Is this true?

Note that my visa finish at January (Business visa)

Any advise from someone who did this process?

Thanks

Well you have to leave within 7 days of the cancellation of the WP I know that.

Never applied for a new one immediately so can't say sorry.

Who told you that you had to be out of the country for 3 months to get another work permit.

Many people people have gotten a new work permit almost immediately after canceling their existing one.

In case when you say "visa" you actually mean "extension of stay": Your extension ends on the day you stop being employed by the company.
