Trade In

Featured Replies

Surprisingly there seems no forum post on this.

Does no-one have experience with the 'Trade In' program?

https://th-applegiveback-abbti.onlinetradein.com

The site told me that my 2013 MBP is potentially worth THB 4k.

But what is the process exactly? Unfortunately, my Thai is not that good.

Do they collect and then send a gift voucher after completed checks?

Is there a way to deliver old devices for immediate check and receipt of gift voucher?

This could allow to use the voucher or credit to buy a new replacement machine without too much down-time.

Would appreciate info, if anyone has used this service?

cheers

I would suggest you take your MBP to an IT shop that deals with

second hand sales & repairs, as you may be offered a better price

than 4000bt.

I've seen s/h MBP older than yours being sold for 15-20k baht

in these shops.

If your in Bangkok try MBK Mall, if Pattaya, try Tuk-Com mall.

Thanks Sotsira!!

You have a good point of course, it may be worth asking around a bit.

However, my m/c is basic spec with a few scratches and i have trouble seeing anyone buying this for re-sale.

Any older m/c selling for 15-20k must have been bought in at far less than half that and they are likeyly higher spec.

But it's worth asking anyhow - thanks for the input!

cheers
