Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha is reported to be satisfied that Thailand’s ranking on the Global Innovation Index (GII) 2019 improved by one place to 43rd.

The Government House website reported that Thailand’s improvement on the GII ranking was good news because the country scored better marks in several categories, such as investment protection, investment in stock market, research and development, business environment and import and export of technological products.

The webpage also said that the improved GII ranking would increase the confidence of investors and operators in the development and creation of new innovations in Thailand, in line with the “Innovated in Thailand” campaign.

And what about:

safety requirements for all worker in the industry

Road maintenance

Road safety, which includes more uneven floors, fly-overs at road crossing.

Removing of all U-turns in the country.

Good elderly care

just to name some basics of the society and everybody here can complete this list that should be done first before trying to get the title Innovated Thailand.

With those categories, how would they rank on the Global ignorance index?

Now once this has been sorted and settled, the self-declared COO of the country might start improve the ranking of his people by deviating some of the apparently lose change from submarines from China, destroyers from Korea and other big-boys-toys to the needier pendings of the land.

Issues like education, irrigation, public transport, public health spring to mind - and the list is much longer.

Is the PM happy with the Global Perceived Corruption Index which stands at 99 out of 180? He has never said he is isn't so presumably he is delighted with that result.

The consistent thing about these news reports is how does the PM **feel**

PM happy PM satisfied PM upset PM disappointed, etc. etc.

To which my mind always replies, "Who gives a f * ck how he feels. This is a job not a privilege. He is employed to work for the people, not to ensure his good feelings. Bad enough to steal and cheat his way into power, but to expect anyone to give a toss how he is feeling about it? Go F yourself BS fake PM.

"The webpage also said that the improved GII ranking would increase the confidence of investors and operators in the development and creation of new innovations..."

Still got a long way to go on the new innovations category.
