The Weirdos are Flowering

Recommended Posts

I've had these two plants sitting on my balcony for more than 10 years and I had got to the stage where I thought that they weren't actually flowering plants.

Then, this year, they both decided to flower at the same time.

One is a kind of Bromeliad and the other is know as an Elephant Tusk plant. Both weird plants that have put forth weird flowers.

Anyone else experienced plants dormant for years suddenly chucking out flowers?

Sorry, unable to rotate the images.

I have a Lam Yai tree in my garden since 10 years now, it has become very large, lots of leaves but has never given any fruit.

My post keeps arriving late, maybe it's the weather.

That's another topic. But consider soil fertility and water management.
