Upgrade to iPhone X

Featured Replies

I want to buy an iPhone Xs or Xr. WOuld rather pay monthly, is this possible anywhere? Seen they have them at Emporium with monthly payments but not sure if this is available to expats.

I also have 2 phones with a true mobile contract, is it available through True with monthly installments?

Just so expensive to buy outright....might have to wait....

Thanks for any info provided.

The pay monthly is a scam. What you need is a proper credit card with the full balance of the cost of the phone in credit, they then charge the card so you can no longer spend that money but then only update  the balance of the credit card every month for 10/12 months how ever long the terms are. So then you dont pay any APR for that product.

its not like in Western world when you buy the product then every month get charged the monthly fee until you have paid it off.

I was thinking about doing the same thing because I’m still using the iPhone 6 Plus which is good enough for me. I had to buy a new one recently and I paid cash so I just got a new iPhone 6 Plus again because that’s all I need and it was only 11,000 baht. If I buy a new iPhone X it’s like 30,000 baht I believe. I could afford it but I don’t like paying that much money in one day just for a little iPhone so if I did buy an iPhone X I’d probably want to do it on credit and then just pay it off in 2 or 3 months quickly. But my wife and I both have the iPhone 6 Plus and that’s enough for me I don’t know if I need much more technology than that. A water proof iPhone would be nice.

How does credit work here anyway?

I have my Thai bank account obviously but I’ve never looked into getting a credit card here because I don’t like using credit cards and I normally don’t need them.
